NOW’S THE TIME TO PREPARE FOR THE SUMMER OF 2016

After a mild start, the chill of winter is finally starting to set in. But before you know it, spring – and finally summer – will be upon us. So it’s a good time to get your property ready for the warmer weather. We are anticipating a very active summer rental season and you’ll want your shore property to be in good order and tenant-ready as soon as it gets underway. Being prepared and following the checklist links below will ensure that there are paperwork or other snags, will maintain your rental property at an optimal level, will keep your tenants returning year after year.

COMCAST XFINITY STORE OPENS IN RIO GRANDE – CLOSES AVALON STORE

We also wanted to make you aware of a change regarding Comcast. Comcast has recently opened their third “Xfinity Store” in New Jersey, off of Route 47 in the Rio Grande Plaza, Middle Township. This facility will replace the local Comcast Service Center in Avalon, which will close by the end of January 2016. Our service people will not be able to travel the 10 miles to this new facility to get a piece of equipment repaired or replaced, nor will customers be able to easily and conveniently pay their Comcast bills in person. It’s unfortunate that Avalon will no longer have these services just minutes away.

Due to this move, it’s important that you ensure your Comcast service is active and functional prior to the start of the rental season. All necessary equipment such as modems, boxes, and remotes should be secured, tested out, and confirmed to be in good working order well in advance of your first rental, to reduce the likelihood of a service disruption for your tenants.
